Things to do in Mallorca in July to enjoy paradise

Mallorca is an island that’s special because (to pick just one reason) it offers a great deal of things to do throughout the whole year. And of its twelve months of fun, nature parks, cultural life and cuisine, the best month is July.

In summer, the Balearic island is at its most magical, with outdoor music, ice cream stands, seaside strolls in all the coastal towns, and summer dining.

If you’re asking yourself what to do in Mallorca in July, we’ve put together our Hotels VIVA essential list:

1. Outdoor film nights at the Teatre d’Artà

On the theatre’s website you can view its programme of free screenings taking place all through July on the theatre terrace. Enjoy a great film while glancing up at the Mallorcan sky or feeling the pleasant Mediterranean breeze.

2. Kitesurfing at Playa de Muro

Try out one of the most alluring water sports for surfing enthusiasts. Feel the wind and the freedom of riding on a surfboard that’s carried along by a giant kite. It’s true though, kitesurfing is a high-velocity sport, so taking classes before getting started is a must.

3. Dine at the Michelin-starred Andreu Genestra Restaurant at the Predi Son Jaumell Rural Hotel.

The cuisine in Mallorca is undoubtedly world-class: its quota of excellent restaurants is quite impressive. We simply must highlight the Andreu Genestra Restaurant, from one of the most renowned chefs on the island, who reinterprets Mallorcan cuisine with an international flare and ingredients from the restaurant’s own garden. And of course, the country hotel where it’s located gives it quite the unique setting.

4. Sports, lots of sports!

During our holidays is when we have the greatest amount of free time to pamper ourselves, de-stress and get in shape. All our hotels have programmes packed with recreation options, including dynamic classes like water aerobics. Discover our hotels geared towards practising sports.

5. Dive right in!

Of course, there’s no July without full days at the beach. This year Mallorca is even more beautiful – if that’s possible – because of the environmental respite it received from the lockdown, with its waters looking cleaner and more crystalline than ever. All Hotels VIVA locations are strategically placed near the sea: Cala Mesquida, Playa de Muro and Puerto de Alcudia. They’re three areas with incredible beaches that you can access on foot.
