Playa de Muro is one of the most unspoiled and best conserved beaches in the Bahia de Alcudia. Can you imagine yourself being able to sit back and relax with your partner or the whole family while enjoying a paella right next to this fantastic beach?

Imagine a white sandy beach and clear waters, surrounded by juniper and pine forests, with sand dunes…What’s better than a delicious lunch and a dip either before or after? Do you fancy it?

We knew you’d love it, so we’ve prepared a list of some of the places where you’ll be able to enjoy this culinary delicacy in stunning surroundings.

Can Gavella

An essential place to eat in Playa de Muro Mallorca. It’s located on the Caseta dels Capellans beach by the entrance to Can Picafort when coming from Alcudia.

The menu offers different types of paella in addition to fresh fish. The portions are generous and the best bit? Everything is delicious and reasonably priced!

You’ll also be able to enjoy their fantastic, famous paellas right on the sand. A luxury to be enjoyed this holiday!

Restaurante Chivas

If you want to try an authentic, local and tasty paella, you can’t miss out on a visit to Restaurante Chivas at Playa de Muro. It’s a local family business just two minutes from the beach, offering excellent service and food. You’ve got to taste the sangria alongside your paella - it’s divine.

It’s highly recommended, especially if you enjoy good local restaurants with the true flavour of Mallorca.

La Ponderosa

An incredible spot! People come from across the island just to go to “Ponderosa Beach”, so you can’t miss out! If you go during high season, make sure you book a table in advance to enjoy everything it has to offer.

The breath-taking views of the Bahia de Alcudia and the Mediterranean will be the first things you notice when you get there to have lunch or dinner.

The decoration is simple but cool and it features old colourful blinds, Balinese umbrellas and tables on the sand where you can kick your shoes off and bury your feet….

The music is also fantastic and sometimes they host sessions with local or international DJs…Surprise! During the summer months they have a “shop” which sells beach clothes and accessories.

Ponderosa Beach hired three new chefs in 2016. Abraham Artigas who was previously a sous chef in the modern Bambhudda in Ibiza; Kike Martí, an award-winning “rice master” from Valencia, and pastry chef Alejandra Cevallos.

Its culinary offering is characterised by the high-quality ingredients bought directly from local producers. They offer Mediterranean cuisine with certain splashes of Asian inspiration, creating exquisite and well-presented dishes.

You can’t miss out on Kike’s paellas! They’re incredible. You must taste the wonderful homemade puddings made by Alejandra and of course, the tempting and quirky cocktails served in modern glass jars or cellophane bags with a straw.

 Incredibly delicious!
