Where to go on holiday at easter? Majorca is ideal

With summer still a little way off, the prospect of Easter holidays is like a small reward that we’ve undoubtedly earned. Although usually shorter in duration than its summer counterpart, the Easter break can be a perfect opportunity for discovering places in a way that avoids the summer bustle: in a calmer, less crowded atmosphere.

Mallorca has a great deal to offer at Easter

An example of a perfect place to visit at Easter, now just around the corner, is the island of Mallorca. The climate at this time of year is mild and you can take advantage of this by enjoying its coves, soaking up the peace that they transmit at a time when they are much less crowded, and even taking a quick dip in the sea.

But Mallorca is much more than sunshine and beaches and offers innumerable attractions and daytrips.

From hiking to walking on the beach, activities for children and grown-ups, caves and…. processions too

Neither extreme heat nor unbearable cold. This season is perfect for enjoying nature in all its splendour. Easter is therefore an ideal time for hiking and cycling. Where? The Sierra de la Tramontana never disappoints, but you could also venture as far as the Massanella, less familiar to the general public but recognised among hikers as one of the best mountains on Mallorca. And if you prefer the coast, we have no hesitation in recommending Sant Elm and the ruins of the Monasterio de la Trapa.

If you’re coming to pass holidays with kids this Easter, Mallorca has plenty of activities in store! We recommend spending an unforgettable day with your family at Marineland, notable for its incredible dolphin show, or Katmandú Park, with its amazing 4D and 5D cinema and minigolf.

Another option is boat trips: there are many of these, all of them fantastic - from Port Alcudia to Formentor, for example, or the island of Dragonera.

You can also use your days on Mallorca to visit for the first time, or revisit and discover the details that you missed the first time around, the fantastic Drach caves, or others that are less well known but equally striking, like those of Hams or Génova.

The most iconic and in general the most representative image of Easter is the processions, and in many Mallorcan villages, such as Alcudia and Pollensa, you can see the Davallaments, which is a representation of the descent of Christ from the cross that takes place on Good Friday.
