Without a doubt, Mallorca is one of the most spectacular destinations in Europe if you're looking for beaches and bays with incredible views, crystal-clear water, and huge biodiversity. Among the many paradisaic beaches and bays in Mallorca, Cala Llombards is one of the most popular spots for activities like snorkelling and diving.

Cala Llombards is a beach on the south east side of Mallorca, and the bay has the same name. It's 10 kilometres out of Santanyí and is easy to get to by car or bicycle. This is one of many amazing beaches and bays in this part of the island. It's close by the well-known and controversial Caló des Moro.

Just 55 metres wide but 150 metres long, Mallorca's Cala Llombards beach is a long bay surrounded by high cliffs, pine trees and bushes, and is the home of a great variety of marine flora and fauna. It's quite narrow, but very long and gets up to 230 metres long as it extends out to sea.

The calm, crystal-clear waters, the soft, white sand, and gorgeous weather in Cala Llombards make it an incredible spot to enjoy with the whole family, especially with kids. It's an ideal beach if you're looking for a relaxing holiday. You can enjoy the natural beauty of the island in all its splendour.

Mallorca's Mediterranean climate makes any month of the year perfect for visiting the island, but of course it all depends on your holiday plans. If you're looking for warm waters, hot sun and no rain clouds, summertime would be your best bet. However, springtime is also a great season to visit Mallorca, before the tourist season really starts and with a milder climate.

The diving season is a little different. In Mallorca the diving season starts around the middle of June and finishes in October. With a water temperature of between 22 and 28°C, the whole diving experience during these months is a real pleasure. The climate in Cala Llombards will help you have an even better diving experience, since visibility underwater increases with calm weather and sunshine.

To go diving in Cala Llombards, the Santanyí Diving centre is the most well-known and is located just 15 minutes from the beach by car. If you're visiting the island during July and August, we recommend you book ahead.

There are various diving schools on the island. You'll find courses and activities for all experience levels, and that way you'll be able to enjoy Mallorca's natural riches at your own pace. Apart from Cala Llombards, other ideal spots close by for diving are: Caló d'en Ferrà, Cala Figuera, Punta Águila, Punta Fontanella, and Cueva Blanca, among others.
