Travelling to Mallorca in February and March can be a real luxury. At this time of the year, the island isn’t full of tourists, and you’ll find it much more pleasant to move around and may even enjoy it more than at busier times. The extra benefit here is that, as it’s low season, it will be much cheaper than travelling in high season.

From all of us here at Hotels VIVA, we’d like to tell you all about the advantages of visiting Mallorca in February and March.

Reasons to visit Mallorca in February and March

There are plenty of reasons to visit the island at any time of the year, as each season has its own particular charm and highlights. But, as we’re talking about visiting Mallorca in February and March, we’d like to pick out the following reasons which you won’t be able to resist:

Its pleasant climate

According to research carried out by Adónde&Cuándo, based on more than 10 years of forecasts, there’s almost a 50% chance that the temperature in Mallorca in February will be 15 degrees (at midday). In the case of March the chance of it reaching 16 degrees is 55%, with the same probability of clear skies and mostly sunny days.

Although it’s not sunny every day, rain isn’t a problem either, as, on average, it usually only rains about 5 days a month. The rain in February and March is usually lighter than in other months too.

Having said all this, in other years, temperatures have even reached 20 degrees Celsius. Night temperatures are lower and sometimes these will allow you to see snow on the highest Mallorcan peaks.

An ideal time to go hiking and visit the monuments without any queues

In February and March in Mallorca, the weather is perfect for hiking, as well as for excursions and bike rides, thanks to the great weather you can get these months. It’s a great opportunity to discover new places and find time to relax in the sun. What could be better?

Moreover, at this time of year, the days are starting to get a little longer; it’s starting to smell like spring and the almond trees begin to blossom, giving some fabulous landscapes.
