  • Hotels VIVA launches an advertising campaign geared towards a local and national audience, which will be extended to cover target markets, that promotes stays at the tourist establishments in Mallorca under the slogan, "Close to what you most love".

                                                                                Alcudia, 16 June 2020.

The Covid-19 contingency plan that we at Hotels VIVA have produced during the state of alarm in recent months, which establishes several prevention and communication actions in our hotels, has made it possible for three of our establishments to achieve the optimal conditions for their reopening, guaranteeing the highest level of guest safety. One of those hotels, VIVA Golf Adults Only 18+, will open first to join the government's pilot plan, offering accommodation to foreign and national holidaymakers.

The planned opening dates of the other hotels we manage are as follows: VIVA Blue & Spa and Predi Son Jaumell Hotel Rural: 3 July and ViVA Cala Mesquida Resort & Spa: 07 July. The other establishments will open according to the number of bookings made.

At Hotels VIVA, we want to highlight our commitment to quality, sustainability, safety and information, which are more important now than ever before in the role we assume by joining the pilot plan. The plan will no doubt provide valuable data to all the other establishments in Mallorca, the Balearic Islands and other tourist destinations, helping to ensure greater visitor safety and a better holiday experience.

The safety measures established in our plan regarding hygiene and prevention

Vastly exceed the recommendations of the health authorities and they involve, among others, the following actions:

  1. Ongoing training of all our workers on prevention relating to the COVID-19 health emergency, which includes monitoring the experiences of other destinations and maintaining close contact with local, autonomous and state health authorities.

  2. Daily health controls at hotel access points for both workers and guests.

  3. Constant cleaning of all the areas in our establishments, including ventilation filters, with protection for mechanisms of common use.

  4. Adhering to minimal contact rules among our workers and between them and our clients at establishments, using compulsory safety equipment.

  5. Introducing vending machines that sell hand sanitiser products.

  6. Limiting capacity in our restaurants and common areas, and installing methacrylate separation screens on assisted buffet counters where we will promote the service through Show Cooking.

  7. Online check-in and check-out services.

  8. Encouraging electronic payment methods at all points of sale in the hotel.

For information purposes, these are some of the measures set out in our plan:

  • Informative posters and signage of all the rules and guidelines to follow to minimise risk.

  • Signage marking safety distances in certain areas, such as at reception.

  • Constantly available and updated online information on all the protocols to follow.

  • Our customer service call centre that guests can contact before, during and after their stay.

At Hotels VIVA, we are aware that these are extraordinary but necessary measures. Despite the compulsory social distancing measures, we will continue to focus as always on prioritising health, safety and comfort above all else in order to ensure the best stay possible for our guests

Finally, we would like to thank our clients, who are interested in the reopenings and who are already making bookings at our hotels in Mallorca, for the fantastic response they have given us.

Advertising campaign

To incentivise bookings, we at Hotels VIVA have launched an advertising campaign aimed at potential clients on our islands and the national market, which will be extended to cover our main target markets, under the slogan "Close to what you most love". The campaign focuses on the possibility of doing all the 'little things' that we haven't been able to do during the confinement and on being able to now relive countless experiences and feelings, which have been put to one side in recent months, with our loved ones in the most sought-after locations.
