So, have we convinced you that you should see in the New Year on Mallorca? In this article, we’ll tell you about some of the activities you can do on New Year's Eve in Palma and other important places on the island.

Celebrate the New Year in the streets of Mallorca

To experience the biggest New Year's celebrations in Mallorca, you simply must go to Palma. On 31 December, in Plaza Rey Juan Carlos I, there are different shows with some great live music. Around midnight, you can go to Plaça Cort to enjoy the firework display – and remember to bring your grapes for the midnight chimes!

According to Spanish tradition, you have to eat 12 grapes during the time it takes for the clock to strike 12. Each of these grapes represents a month of the year and you need to eat the whole grape! If you’re successful, then, according to the tradition, you’ll have good luck and prosperity for the whole year ahead.
