Mallorca holds weekly markets across the length and breadth of the island. Every day of the week stallholders can be found selling their fresh produce throughout Mallorca. They offer a highly attractive activity for those keen travellers who love immersing themselves in the culture and identity of the places they visit.

Local markets on Mallorca offer much more than just fruit and vegetables. In the squares of the island’s main towns and villages, which become the epicentres of local life and which play host to Mallorca’s various markets, you’ll be able to enjoy a combination of the island’s characteristic gastronomic delicacies, such as sobrassada sausages, Mahón cheese, fresh, dried and mixed herbs, brown bread, home-cured meats, organic honey together with earthenware vessels known as greixoneres, ceramic figures called siurells, fabrics with tongue motifs (telas de lengua) and hand-woven palm baskets.

Here’s our selection of Mallorca’s outstanding weekly markets:

Lloret de Vistalegre and Caimari
