During the COVID-19 pandemic, tourism and hospitality, both on the Balearic Islands and all around the world, have been among the most affected sectors of all. Little by little, they’re starting to reopen, adapting to the new health protocols that will guarantee their customers’ safety, and also to the protocols of the different areas in terms of mobility.

At Hotels VIVA, we are very happy to announce that we are opening our doors on April 30th – a new season full of high expectations. And, thanks to our Safe Tourism Certified status, we’re in a position to ensure safe holidays with all the necessary measures to enjoy a relaxing holiday season, and looking after each other as we go.

What measures will Hotels VIVA take?

We’re back and we’re leaving no stone unturned to ensure that you will enjoy your holiday with total peace of mind.

And how are we going to achieve this? Well, in all our hotels we will have a complete plan of safety and hygiene measures that will accompany you during your stay at all times in order to ensure the safety of all our guests. The Care & Safety by VIVA programme is also endorsed by SGS Global, an internationally recognised world leader in safety, inspection, verification, and testing protocols.

Throughout your stay you will see this plan in action. We have added digital processes and the use of QR codes to minimise contact with potentially contaminated surfaces. We have also digitalised many of our procedures to maintain a full service, but with added precautions.

In addition to this, we have adapted our restaurant and food services to the situation, with an assisted buffet that will allow you to enjoy our traditional delicacies, but now without having to take any health risks, thanks to the attention of our chefs and kitchen assistants who will assist you to ensure as little contact as possible.

From the moment you enter any of our hotels, you will see signs on the floor to help you keep your distance from other customers in the hotel.

In terms of hygiene and sanitisation, we will provide both our employees and our customers with the necessary sanitising supplies, such as alcohol gel, 70% alcohol, and mats for disinfecting footwear. In addition, we have sanitising gel dispensers in all common areas and we have a special service for the regular cleaning and disinfection of common areas and rooms.

In order to comply with health and safety regulations, all common areas of our hotels are subject to a maximum capacity, which allows safe circulation and correct social distancing. In the common areas of the hotel, such as lobbies, lounges, terraces or restaurants, the capacity will be reduced to 60% to avoid potential contagion. In these areas, the safe distances will be clearly marked out, and you will also see that the areas sanitised by our cleaning team will be clearly shown, ensuring that you will always be able to relax with complete peace of mind.

And to top it all off, we are proud to announce that our Care & Safety by VIVA programme includes health insurance. This is an exclusive health insurance package that we offer when you book through our MY VIVA programme - your own personal account where you’ll be able to manage your booking online, giving you total peace of mind throughout your stay. With MY VIVA, you’ll be able to access exclusive benefits in all our hotels.

It’s great to be back

Your health and safety are our top priorities in order to ensure that you can make the most of your well-deserved holiday. In addition to implementing the necessary measures, we also ask our guests to heed these safety and hygiene protocol measures, which benefit and protect us all. And how can you help? Wash and sanitise your hands frequently, wear a face mask in common areas, keep the recommended social distance, and avoid contact with people outside of the family group you’re staying with.

So, we’ll meet again from April 30th, taking all the necessary precautions as we start a holiday season which will be overflowing with good memories, relaxation, and a chance to unwind in nature. Our main objective is to guarantee a safe holiday, albeit one adapted to the current situation, but without losing our characteristic hospitality and attention to detail.

Mallorca awaits you with its incredible landscapes, crystal clear waters, and peaceful surroundings. The island and our hotels will have their doors open to those who want to enjoy a relaxing holiday and have fun, but always responsibly and with due caution.
