Written by Elisabeth Blue | Aug 14, 2020 9:29:16 AM

August is one of the most popular months in the Mediterranean because every day is a good day for enjoying its beaches and coves.

Today, we at Hotels VIVA have a few outings to share with you that are sure to catch your attention - all near to Bahía de Alcudia, where three of our hotels are located.

Here is our first instalment of how to spend the ideal day out in Mallorca:

  • Start the day by heading to the Sa Bassa Blanca Museum - an incredible building next to the sea. It features Hispano-Moorish architecture, is surrounded by gardens and fountains, and has a permanent exhibition as well as temporary installations.

  • Continue on to the Mirador de la Victoria, where you can visit the chapel or take a break for a coffee or snack and enjoy the incredible views from the café-restaurant at the top.

After resting up, head to Playa de Formentor. With its history and literary spirit, this area is one of the jewels on the Mallorcan coast.

  • Finally, you might like to end the day with the feel of sea salt on your skin by heading to the Formentor Lighthouse to watch the sunset.

  • For the perfect end to your trip, try dinner at Pollença port or town, where you’ll find a variety of delicious eating options.

As Gertrude Stein said, “Mallorca is paradise, if you can stand it.” Follow our blog and other Hotels VIVA tips and you’ll be sure to enjoy Mallorca’s most magical August outings.
