    Monographic Museum, Roman Theatre and Roman City of Pollèntia: In the town of Alcúdia there are still visible traces of Roman times, when Pollèntia (the name given to this town by the Romans) was the the capital of Majorca. Pollèntia Consortium organizes guided tours. Opening times: Tuesday to Friday: 10am to 4pm, Saturday and Sunday: 10.30am to 1pm. Further information at www.pollentia.net.

     

    Yannick and Ben Jakober Foundation: With headquarters in the Sa Bassa Blanca property, a building of Nubian-inspired architecture, the Foundation is in a unique location. It features a permanent exhibition of children’s portraits from between the 15th and 19th centuries, considered part of Spain’s National Heritage. www.fundacionjakober.org.

     

    Muro Ethnological Museum: Displays utensils, garments and customs of early 20th century Majorcans. Opening times: Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday: 10am to 3pm, Thursday: 10am to 1pm and 5pm to 8pm, Sunday: 10am to 2pm. Closed on Monday and statutory holidays.
