Fairs and festivities in Sóller (Majorca)

It is defined as one of the most outstanding fairs of Majorca, where the craftwork and the popular dances have great relevance. It begins with “Es Pregó” festivity, but it is during the procession of the “Mare de Déu de la Victòria” when people start to live actively the feast, with the citizens’ participation that are typically dressed and they offer flowers to the Virgin. Moreover, there are different recreational acts that compound a large programme. It is during these days that the commemoration of the battle of Sóller against the “Sarraceros” is remembered.
